January Eureka Journeyman

 January 2021

From the lovely Roxanna:

AHHHHHH!!!!! I’m so excited to teach a skill I have been blessed to use in a variety of settings… outside of midwifery.

Obviously, this one mini-class does not qualify you as an expert, but if you're ever up in the mountains or something when you have no option, you’ll be able to help 😊

It is meant to give you a basic understanding of the precautions we take when preparing to suture

Including handwashing

Universal precautions, what it means and why we do it.

Also the proper removal of soiled gloves.

We are planning on working on raw meat and would like to keep the raw meat 🥩 juices safely and neatly contained.

You guys are so awesome!

I am really looking forward to teaching this class.

And for any of you that might feel squeamish

You’re in good company, LOL

I used to pass out when I would see a person get sutures when I was first in school…

They were telling me to go lay down because I had lost all the color in my face

I’m happy to say, I’ve gotten over that.

And if you want to, so can you.

😊

Become/Serve

If you find yourself in a situation where someone gets hurt, be the first to jump up and help them.  You may not have the opportunity this week to do it, but take the opportunity the next time you're in the situation.
